Our Story
Sarfraz Sohail (Safi) came to Scottsdale, Arizona in 2010 as a Fulbright Scholar for the Hospitality and Culinary Program. He spent one year in the program before successfully finishing and returning home to his wife in Pakistan. In 2012, he traveled to Afghanistan after joining the Supreme Food Services Dyncorp, a DOD prime contractor, and Amtex Global Solutions, serving food to the American and NATO forces in the country; he would spend seven total years in this venture before returning once more to Pakistan.
After returning home, he came to the US in 2018, leaving his wife and kids behind. He would return to Arizona, first residing in Phoenix before going to Las Vegas, Dallas, and then returning to Phoenix before making his way to the Verde Valley and Sedona area. He would work tirelessly for the next 6 years, making every effort for his family’s safety, to secure their future, and bring them to the US and their new home legally, the right way. Finally, in 2024, he would succeed, and he, his wife, and their three children would finally be united once again. He and his wife, working separate jobs at different businesses, would begin the plans to open their own restaurant. That plan succeeded, and that restaurant in Cottonwood is where you will find them today, serving their fresh, authentic Indian cuisine.
